For a client launching a new sales model involving gift sets that include alcoholic beverages, we provided a comprehensive legal analysis along with strategic recommendations to ensure full compliance – despite the client not operating a brick-and-mortar or online store.
Due to the inclusion of beverages exceeding 4.5% and 18% ABV, we advised on obtaining the appropriate alcohol license – focusing in particular on “event-based” permits that allow sales outside of permanent business premises. At the same time, we proposed a contractual framework that clearly links each transaction to a specific event – such as holidays, anniversaries, or corporate gatherings – an essential requirement for regulatory compliance.
We also initiated an assessment of the potential to secure a general license, taking into account legal and geographic restrictions. Our support enabled the client to confidently implement the new business line, fully aligned with applicable regulations.
