We advised a client on modifying the terms of a subscription-based loyalty program that offered consumers a range of premium benefits. One of these perks, initially seen as a strategic asset, ultimately proved commercially unsustainable. The client decided to phase it out – a move that demanded careful legal handling.

The key challenge was ensuring that the change complied with consumer protection regulations, particularly in light of increased scrutiny from the competition authority regarding modifications to paid subscription services. We designed a legally sound approach that enabled the client to pivot their business model while fully respecting consumer rights and regulatory expectations.
