We assisted a client operating in both manufacturing and e-commerce in aligning its operations with the new EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR). A key element was clarifying the client’s dual role—as both a distributor and an online seller—which determined the scope of legal obligations.
We mapped out all relevant GPSR requirements, including how user instructions should be provided, which languages and formats are required, and what product information must be displayed online. Our legal guidance covered both internal product documentation and external consumer-facing content. To ensure consistency across the client’s international group, our recommendations were closely coordinated with legal counsel from the German parent company.
The project also included practical advice on optimizing sales processes and compliance documentation to meet the demands of the new regulatory landscape.
