We conducted an in-depth audit of the e-commerce and marketing practices of a top provider in the food industry, aiming to streamline the process of collecting marketing consents. By reducing unnecessary checkboxes and making the consent language clearer, we offered solutions that not only ensured compliance but also enhanced user transparency and engagement.

Our analysis revealed that overly formalistic approaches, despite being well-intentioned, can inadvertently complicate processes and deter potential clients. On this highly competitive market, we showed that the client’s rigorous standards, while self-imposed, were overly restrictive and potentially limited their marketing effectiveness. We demonstrated that managing legal risk does not require extreme measures; instead, a balanced, transparent approach can yield both compliance and commercial advantage.
