A client of a law firm has been developing an online service combined with a mobile application for several years, which are related to the organisation of tourist trips. They are used to simplify communication between the organiser and participants.

In addition, the client is implementing a new, similar service with its core element being a marketplace for bringing users together to organise a joint trip. Many of the assumptions of the new project still required legal consultation regarding appropriate and secure solutions.

The client also wanted to verify and possibly improve legal solutions in the area of data protection.

How did we help the client?

We thoroughly reviewed legal documents and the way the services and related applications functioned. During working meetings, we advised the client’s team on an ongoing basis on the best possible directions for the development of new functionalities and the new service in terms of legal compliance and meeting potential new legal obligations. We drafted new legal documents for the service (including terms and conditions and a privacy policy), while also improving the clarity of the text.

What did the client gain from us?

The development of the new documentation by the law firm's lawyers allowed the client to implement the new functionalities into the next version of the application more quickly and with legal certainty. We secured the client's legal interest as a provider of the application in the context of functionalities allowing communication between participants.

Thanks to our close cooperation in the development of the new application, the client was able to immediately give it the optimal legal framework for further development.
